The children in our school are very diverse, encompassing many different ethnic and cultural backgrounds. Many are from low-income families. Often, students in the area move from home to home which means they move schools frequently resulting in learning gaps. For many of our families daily living can be a struggle. We offer assistance with school supplies and uniforms. In addition to a food bank, some students are sent home with packages on Fridays to make sure they have something to eat for the weekend. There are also a number of students who are living in shelters. Even with all these disadvantages, the students are caring, committed, and eager to learn.
