We are a Title I, ESL (English as a second language) school in a wonderful, close-knit community. In addition to the neighborhood children, students from all over the city with English language learning needs are bused to our school to receive ESL services. I have 19 second graders in a general education classroom that includes both English Language Learners, as well as students requiring Special Education services. As the classroom teacher, I work closely with the ESL and special education educators and collaborate to meet the needs of all of my students. My students are eager to learn, and benefit immensely from small group instruction.
