I have 17 students who are below grade level. My students are very loving and sweet. Many come from problematic homes, but they all manage to leave their problems at the door of the school. They are all eager to learn and try their best every day. There are many days where I have to ask the students to put their books away so we can continue with our math lessons!
90% of the students in the school qualify for free or reduced lunch. Most of the students do not have books at home available to them to read. We are in a small town in south Mississippi. They come from very diverse backgrounds, but they share the love of reading with one another. They treat each other like a family, and love recommending books to one another.
