My classroom is very diverse. I have students who are English learners, students with disabilities, and students who are socioeconomically disadvantaged. Almost half of my students receive free or reduced lunches, but my school is not considered Title One and doesn't receive money to help support our students' needs.
My students deserve the same opportunities that other students have and it breaks my heart that I can't provide them with that due to lack of funds. I spend at least $1,000 every year on my kids because they deserve the best. My class this year is filled with fun, energetic kids. They love learning and are excited to come to school every day. They have such caring and loving personalities. The five students with special needs in my class are well taken care of and protected by the other students in my class. My students have a lot of school spirit. Most of them participate in school sports and those who don't, cheer them on every Friday. We are a family.
