My students are students who do not get a lot of opportunities outside of the classroom for learning about sports. 96% of my students receive free or reduced lunch, therefore families do not have extra money for extra activities like sports outside of the school. Seeing all 600 students in our school, I get the opportunity to expose them to the world of athletics and sports that they may not otherwise get to see. Our district does not spend much money on physical education.
