My students are a wonderful group of little children that come to school everyday with a smile. I serve a community of mostly English Language Learners. These children come from low socioeconomic families. Many of them have multiple families living under one roof in effort to afford cost of living. Even though, they sometimes come hungry to school, or worried about family issues, they come and are eager to learn. Our school staff is committed to provide our students with the best education we can give them. Unfortunately, we have limited resources available. The majority of our students do not have access to technological devices. Any exposure they have had is from school. In our school we have 2 iPad carts that are to be shared between 18 k-5 classrooms as well as with middle school classrooms. If you think about that, it doesn't leave much time for our students to use. They are still aware of what is out there and I want to give them the opportunity to enjoy and learn with them.
