Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. This year my students were not able to have the flexibility choosing where they wanted to work in different locations in our classroom.
We have the standardize desk and chair combo, when they were able to choose where to set even if it meant seating on the floor while working on their websites or mobile applications they worked better because they were able to move and share ideas with different people.
I believe making sure my students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. They almost always make good choices about where they sit, are more engaged, and get more work completed than when they are just sitting at their desk.
The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices.
Not only does the beanbag chairs will allow for additional comfortable floor seating opinions but when a child with a relaxed mind learns better. When someone is experiencing physical discomfort (6 hours in wooden, plastic desk) the brain can’t relax: it’s focused on making the situation more comfortable. Once the brain is relaxed, the student’s focus can switch to learning.
Beanbag chairs are naturally comfortable, so they promote learning. They’re soft and inviting, sitting on one doesn’t feel like a chore. Students are often happy to be there since a beanbag chair feels different from the chairs they usually associate with school. Using comfortable bean bag chairs can make them more open to the learning process. I have seen how giving students the choice of where to sit even it was on the floor can positively affect my students
