The students in my school do not have valuable experiences with technology at home. Many of these students come from a low income family, which means they cannot provide adequate experiences and practice with technology.
Having these 2 iPads in our classroom will allow us to practice math, science, social studies, and reading while gaining experience with technology. In our society, technology is a large part of how we communicate and work. I would like for my students to begin practicing these basic skills.
Not only will iPads expose my students to technology, but they will also allow for more effective work centers and allow for my students to be engaged in their work. I will use iPads for independent work while I work with students individually.
