We are a Title 1 School who serves grade K-6 with less than 60 students altogether. Our school has a high free and reduced lunch population. Students enter into Kindergarten at many different levels and majority of them may not have had any preschool experiences. We have only eight students in our classroom who come from low-income families that face hardships on a daily basis. However, aside from the hardships, those eight Kindergarten students are ready and willing every morning to begin a new learning adventure! It has been very rewarding to see the excitement on their faces as they learn new letters, numbers, words and begin to read on their own. It has also been wonderful getting to know each student on a personal level, which helps the students grow to their fullest potential.
