My students come from very low income families. Many of them don't get enough food, love or support at home. They come to school every day begging to be loved and cared for. Most of their parents don't sit down with them in the evenings to work on homework or read to them. The majority of my students come to school not knowing their colors, numbers to alphabet letters. That means we have a lot of ground work to cover so they will be able to read by the end of year.
My school is a beautiful place of learning. I work with a staff of educators who care deeply about children and their well being. We work as a team to ensure each child's success in our building.
About my class
