My precious students are all preschool special education students ranging from ages three to five. Each of them are exhibiting different forms of disabilities including physical, mentally, and medical disabilities. Their disabilities include Autism, Down Syndrome, Cancer, Developmental Delays, Cerebral Palsy, and Pierre Robin Syndrome. Their abilities vary from children who will enter into Kindergarten with minimal support to children who will have to attend a medically fragile school upon leaving my class. They are spunky, fun loving kiddos who enjoy having a good time. They love, love, love to sing, dance, play, create, and build. Since their developmental abilities vary so much, I have to be very creative incorporating activities that each student can participate in at their specific level. We are at a local public school in rural Mississippi that has preschool, Kindergarten, and first grade students. There are roughly 750 total students in attendance at our school.
