The school where I teach is special to me because it is where I went to school a long time ago. It is the only school that I have ever taught at. I feel a personal connection to the students. Most students here are from working class families just like I was. My goal is not only to get students to learn science but to love science. I have been co-teaching for about 12 years. I have students with learning disabilities that struggle at times. I have been steadily implementing a hands on approach to my classes. I love to see smiles on students' faces when they have success. I hope to further facilitate my hands on approach through donors choose.
