Students at my middle school come from a wide variety of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. They are from an urban area. Their diversity accounts for an extremely wide range of personal experiences for my students. We have students that come from families of extremely educated parents and we also have half of our families that qualify for free and reduced lunch. My students are international as well and we have many new immigrants. My students are great and they are the best part of my work.
