The students I see have some academic challenges in reading and math. We work on developing specific skills at their instructional level hoping to close any learning gaps they may have. The Power Pen device gives positive messages for correct answers and encouraging redirection for wrong answers. This helps keep students highly engaged and motivated to learn the skills.
Learning can be fun! The goal of these materials is to provide another outlet for students to be successful in mastering and overcoming their skill deficits. Our goal in RTI is to give students the strategies and self-confidence they need in order to be successful in the regular classroom. Each student in my room works on individual skills necessary to meet that goal. Adding these practice cards will be an additional motivator for individual skill mastery.
