We are a charter school in Salt Lake City with multi-age classrooms. My room is first and second grade. Our kids are given some unstructured time during the week when they can decide how to spend their time. I would love to get more of them into our class library, to read independently, or share a fun book with a friend. I asked them for their wish list of books for our class, and these are some of the titles they requested. When I started teaching 5 years ago I was given a class library of the used, old, no longer wanted books from other teachers. Most of my books are falling apart, out of date, and I don't have any of the new "cool" books kids want. I have more fiction than non-fiction and the kids in my class requested more non-fiction books.
