We live in a time where information is most easily accessible with the click of a button. As a 1st grade teacher to twenty-eight students in Irvine, I know that my students crave and enjoy the use of technology during research, reading, math, and instruction as a whole. My students are experts with iPads, as well as other technological tools. They are excited and motivated to learn with these items, and I feel that a mix of traditional instruction and technology is the best way to reach my young learners. I currently use an iPad in the classroom to teach Math whole class (using the Doceri app), allow students to research Scientific concepts on their own, as a "listening center" in Reading, and as a behavior management tool with Class Dojo.
