Most of our students reside in a predominately rural area. This is a proud community that works hard and looks after each other. Our school serves as an anchor to this community. Many homes do not have the money or access to pay for things some of us take for granted. They do place a high value on the education of their children. A significant portion of these children do not have access to the Internet within their home. Those children attempt to obtain access to the Internet when they arrive on campus. On any given day, our media center reaches capacity by 7:45 A.M. Our media center is currently equipped with 12 Mac computers and 6 PC computers. Despite having double the Mac computers, they are always sought out first. Unfortunately, there are never enough computers for all my students. Those children are consistently behind on their research for class.
