Most of my students are from different part of the world (Burmese, Vietnamese, and some from refugee camps.) These students come into school with no prior schooling from their home country. The students I service are very eager to learn. Our school has an estimated population of 1,100 students ranging from Pre-K to 5th grade. 80% of our students are economically disadvantage and come from SES homes. My students will be able to see math concepts presented in the CPA model (concrete, pictorial, abstract) several activities will be able to utilize with these materials such as; students will be able to solve word problems individually, students will be able to share their thinking by partnering with other students , and students will be able to organize their work
