My students come from a rural agricultural community and they are very diverse. I teach students that are dealing with many different challenges such as ADHD, Autism, and Developmental Delays just to name a few. Although my students face many challenges they are still very capable of learning a great deal and it is my goal to find the most effective ways to help them achieve their greatest potential. One way that I have been successful in really engaging my students is by using technology. My students are very motivated by technology and they love to use and interact with different types of technology which in turn encourages them to be more engaged throughout the lesson and allows them to make more progress.
