My second grade class at Eisenberg Elementary are a diverse group. This year I have several students identified as special education students who are reading well below grade level. My students are living in poverty and receive 100% free/reduced breakfast and lunch everyday. My class arrives bright and early everyday ready to learn and they want to be successful. The materials I am asking for will not only help my special education students but the non-fiction text will expose them to on grade level passages. My students enjoy reading and answering questions about what they have read. These materials will allow for more small group reading activities and allow my students to become independent readers.
