Using a mouse is difficult for a 5 year old, but using a touch tablet is easier and has proven to increase their fine motor development. We are a small school with high poverty. There are two classes of 17 kindergartners that who a set of 4 handheld learning devices. We would love to see and increase in tablets so that we eventually have a one-to-one correspondence with technology. Having a second set of tablets would allow students more time on devices.
