Our school is located on the south side of Chicago in a low income community. My students consist mostly of second graders who require special education services. They are energetic, well behaved, extremely bright and well-liked children. Our school was affected by the many school closings within CPS last year. My students have overcome many challenges with getting acclimated to new surroundings and new people. My students show just how strong they are everyday just by coming to class ready to further their education.
