The media center truly is the hub of our school. I am hoping to add a new LEGO wall and Makerspace to our media center in order to inspire our students and spark creativity. This area will allow students to tinker, invent, explore, and create. I am still in the early stages of the Makerspace, but plan to have it up and going for the start of the school year in August! The addition of this new space will provide students with activities in Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematics (STEAM) in our library. The baseplates I am requesting will be mounted to a sheet of plywood which will then be installed on a wall in the library. This will create a vertical space where students can create "artwork" with LEGOs. This will be a constantly changing, collaborative space which will be a focal point of our library. I am confident that this project will be a hit with all grade levels!

About my class
