My students can best be described as an inquisitive group of adolescents, constantly exploring how math is used outside of our classroom and in the real world. They are risk-takers and problem solvers. They vary in ethnic groups, home languages, learning abilities, and mathematical talents. My school could be described as an urban, low-income, high mobility, and Title I school. We serve approximately 1350 students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. Students at my school are BRAVE, MOTIVATED, and SUCCESSFUL!!!
