I work with students from numerous races, nationalities, ethnicities, and socio-economic classes. In addition, my students have a wide variety of school experience. Some come from literature-rich homes, while others are raised in homes without any print resources. Although all of my students are excited about school and are eager learn, several of them come from low income families and are not surrounded by vital materials they need in order to have a foundation of basic skills. As a new teacher, I want to offer my entire class a library that can enhance their exposure to literature not only in the classroom but at home as well. My school is undergoing several curriculum changes, thus our classroom could benefit greatly from more books and reading materials
