Our school is in the process of transitioning to become the first STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) school in our area. That means all subjects will be taught with focus surrounding STEAM. Because, our students LOVE science, we believe we can raise their ability in reading, writing, and math by using investigations and experiments to engage them. This microscope will give my students one more valuable supply. Due to the digital functionality it can be used by one student, the entire class, and the teacher. It eliminates the need for multiple microscopes because the slides can be projected, sent to tablets via the microscope's WIFI, as well as saved on the included SD card. My students need to be able to "see" using their own microscope instead of just looking at pictures in books from other people's' microscopes in order to learn and understand the scientific world around them. This microscope is one more tool in their toolbox to help them investigate and explore this world!
