This is the year of the brave little 2nd graders in room 151! I have never had a class quite so full of questions and eager to learn. Like most 2nd graders, they absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions. They never shy away from a challenge and are not afraid to ask tough questions. They are very self-directed and eager try new things and take chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Our students are unbelievably creative. They use their creativity to problem solve and experiential learning opportunities both in the classroom and at home. With the new COVID-19 protocols in place, students require their own individual supplies.
These STEM kits provide students with their very own set of manipulatives that can be used across curriculum areas. I use hands-on manipulatives to teach reading skills, enhance math lessons, and spark creativity when learning about science and social studies.
