My students come from homes that are deprived of many educational materials. Poverty is very high among my students, who lack essential skills because they have not had the means to experience and be exposed to books and other materials that would benefit them in education.
My students are caring and they are very eager to learn. They are like sponges, absorbing all they can to succeed in school.
My school is in need of a lot of materials. We have limited supplies and seem to always run out of the basic and most needed materials. My school is also one of the poorest in our district, we have one of the highest poverty rate and the highest minority population.
