Our kids long for hands-on learning activities and opportunities that give them something to do after school. I would like to begin an after school robotics club for the students in my middle school. The Cue robot is a sleek designed robot that allows students to easily write code to give the robot directions needed to go to a certain location or even to complete a task. In my regular classes, the emphasis is project-based learning which means that kids learn through doing. Students learn to critically think and problem solve and the Cue robot aligns with this teaching strategy that helps students learn to become successful. By starting this after school club and giving kids an opportunity to learn to accomplish challenges, students will be able to learn to code robots and be able to be part of a special club that gives them something constructive to do after school.
