By establishing a Project LIT chapter at our school, our students will have the opportunity to read wide variety of high quality, socially relevant books that reflect their lived realities, communities, and identities.
With these books, our students will develop a deeper understanding of the world around them and offer opportunities for courageous conversations in a safe environment while also promoting and celebrating literacy.
Our Project LIT chapter aims to empower our students by amplifying marginalized voices and encouraging a love of reading, while also helping them develop critical thinking skills.
