My students come from the lowest socioeconomic bracket, have special needs and have diverse ethnic background. They range in age from 7 to 9 years old. They are bright, full of energy and have so much to offer to the world. Many of my students face challenges such as poverty and autism. Regardless of these challenges, they come to school happy and ready to learn. Their positive energy is contagious, causing a smile to come to anyone's face who visits our class. My goal is to introduce my students to as rich a learning environment as possible, in hopes of giving them the head start they need to be successful and competitive in school. Due to the needs of my students, a variety of materials and experiences are necessary in order to accomplish our goal. I am truly blessed to be able to experience them on a daily basis.
