Special education students very often learn differently from their peers. Teaching sped is not just about the speed of and/or amount of content being taught - but it is the delivery of content. Differentiation is key! Remote learning is primarily on the computer, however, I want to give my students the opportunity to demonstrate attained knowledge by drawing, writing simple sentences, and by using a lapboard because it is easy, quick, and engaging (student love them). Most importantly, learning at home for my students entails sharing spaces and learning with many distractions, thus, providing students with their own headphones will help to create their own quiet space where they can learn. Thank you.
