I teach first grade in an urban community. My students are in need of materials to enhance their mathematical experiences within the classroom. Our class is very diverse from a variety of cultures with a vast amount of learning needs and levels.
Our school is within a large urban community in which resources are cut regularly. Especially in the economic times we face today as a country education is hit hard. My students already had little and it seems as though they have less and less, but are expected to perform academically at levels equivalent to their suburban peers.
