My class is composed of 100% Hispanic children. Many of them come from a low socio economic area with many disadvantages. I teach in a Title 1 school where 100% of my students receive free breakfast, lunch and dinner. My class is composed of many students with special needs. School supplies are limited, and I have to buy many of the bare necessities they would need for school. I teach First grade, and my students are so sweet with a great disposition. It lights up my day seeing how eager and ready they come to school everyday; for many of them, the classroom is their favorite place to be.
