My students are in the first grade. The class is made up of special education students, regular education students, and English language learners. We are a Title 1 school, meaning that 85% of our students are in poverty and likely do not have access to educational materials in their homes. The students are very active and enjoy the option of choices. Our school does not receive funds and resources needed to properly service our students. As the teacher, I need to find ways to meet the individual needs of my students, while adhering to the Common Core Standards.
