My students have discussed the needs of having a fitness center at our comprehensive neighborhood high school. They expressed the inability to afford a personal gym membership. Having equipment in school would be of great assistance. A dumbbell set would be a great start to the fitness room and can be used for a variety of exercises. Developing a fitness room has been a goal of the students since I began teaching at the school. The student body has given me several goals they wish to accomplish in the development of this fitness center to make it accessible and appealing to all students in the school.
