My students are in second grade. They enjoy doing activities in which they can collaborate with one another. During Reader's and Writer's Workshop they often start off working independently, but meet with partners to add details or discuss topics read. During Math Workshop, students get the opportunity to explore with manipulatives and discuss problem solving strategies. Overall, our classroom is a collaborative environment where everyone works to help one another.
