More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education.
My students are four and five year olds who are eligible to attend Kindergarten, but are given an additional year to grow academically, emotionally, and socially in my classroom. Many of my students have very little academic knowledge, yet come to school eager and enthusiastic each morning, ready to take on the day's events. They are active and busy, with curious minds interested in learning. Our school has a high free/reduced lunch population and my classroom is often the first school experience for my students. They love interacting with one another, as well as the technology in our classroom.
