This is my 6th year teaching I just got my masters in Special Education. I have increasingly seen more fidgety behaviors in my students as I continue teaching. Last year I had a student who needed to sit on a stability ball daily to help get his wiggles out to help him concentrate and focus. He used the ball every day and he was able to get a majority of the work done and a great deal of his negative behaviors went down.
I would like to get a class set of the wobble seats for my students this year so they can get their wiggles out since they are working so hard everyday! This year many of my students want to sit on the ball but I only have one so I use it was a reward when the students have enough points. I would like to see them be able to focus more on me and less on their fidgety behaviors. I believe if they have a way to get their wiggles out then they will get more work completed, negative behaviors will go down, and playing with pencils will disperse.
Thank you for your help!
