My program serves students grades 2-5. Our room is a learning community made up of over 120 inquisitive, ambitious, eager and energized young scholars! Every student in the program has been identified as being in extreme need of alternative instructional methods. As such, we go to second graders at their home schools, and 3-5th graders come from all over the district to receive our weekly challenge and enrichment program. Each student is a unique individual with his or her own strengths and challenges. I strive to create innovative learning opportunities that challenge them academically, and inspire them to reach their high potential.
We emphasize collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking in our classroom, with the understanding that children learn best when they are engaged through playful experiences.
