Our class has been invited to attend a 2-day science camp experience. The camp is called The Wolf School. During our 2-day visit, our students will experience hands-on learning. They will be conducting experiments and studying our forestry environment.
This year we have spent a lot of time discussing water conservation and treatment as well as protecting our environment. This camp would be a great way for our students to experience this in a real world application. This 2-day camp also serves as a great bonding experience for the students and teachers. We will be staying the night at the camp and eating and sleeping in the same quarters.
This is a great experience for my 5th graders, but we need help to afford the camp. The camp is going to cost our school $12,690, so we have been working very hard at raising funds and trying to get donations from our community.
Any help that we are able to receive will help our students be able to attend this camp.
I strongly feel that this 2-day hands-on experience is exactly what my students are craving. This experience is something that they would not otherwise be able to afford or participate in. The memories my students will make at The Wolf School will last a lifetime.
