My students are urban fourth graders who come to school with a lot of life baggage. Many are students who are living in poverty, and many are students who come from single-parent households. Students typically do not have access to technology at home. In addition, the school and district have suffered budget cuts this year and we are unable to provide our students with the most basic necessities for a classroom.
