Walking into my classroom, you would be surprised at the diversity of students. DHS is the largest high school in the State and hearing over 40 languages is the norm here. That being said, some students struggle with the English language, either spelling, or organization so I model most assignments so the students will be able to follow along easier. I teach over 100 students in Human Anatomy and Advanced Biology. Not all of my students have access to technology at home and approximately 34% receive free or reduced rate lunch. My students face many obstacles outside of school, yet they still strive to do well academically.
