In this day and age, everyone seems to be glued to the screens of their cellphones. This becomes a bigger and bigger problem when students need to stay focused in class. I am constantly having to go to students and ask them to put away their cellphones and participate in class discussions and learning.
With this secure cellphone locker and the ability to charge their phones during my class period, I hope to improve classroom engagement and the personal interactions of my students who are increasingly becoming disconnected from the "real world."
Students would be able to place their phones in a personal locker, plug it in to charge, and hold onto the key until they want their phone back.
