My 7th grade students were thrilled when I told them our school had decided to purchase five new microscopes for our Life Science curriculum. Having just begun discussing microscopic life (bacteria, single-celled organisms, cells, etc.) my students anxiously await the opportunity to see these “things” for themselves rather then just looking at photos in our science book.
