My students this year are an eager group. They can't wait to play each day and love to perform when a guest comes in the room no matter how many times they have seen them. My students have developed a great sense of pride in their workmanship and performance and always want to try something new or challenging. We perform frequently compared to other middle schools; 10 performances are scheduled for the year. With so many opportunities, band students are used to being on the spot and that really helps with their confidence and teamwork. My school has a great arts program where every student finds a niche. The students come from all over the state; some riding the bus a total of 4 hours a day. They are a devoted group and always willing to be challenged.
