I am a speech-language pathologist. This is my first year working in a preschool early childhood special education classroom. I don't have any of my own materials since I typically work with older children. I want to gather colorful, engaging toys and books to help foster language development and social skills.
I work with 2-3 students at a time during centers. Many of the students are non-verbal and need a variety of materials to interact with. My goal is to meet each child where they are at and help them progress. These simple items in my cart will help my little ones accomplish that goal. Every child deserves the opportunity to play and learn.
