The materials I'm requesting are to help engage my students via use of hands -on materials in order to provide them with the resources to demonstrate cognitive development since the majority of the population of my classroom exhibits limited communication, language, receptive, expressive and fine motor skills. Small group instruction allows the students with a 2:1 student to teacher ratio with more chances to increase their skills. Having the proper materials at hand will be ideal, especially for my low income students who don't always get the chance to use "fancier" materials at home. The positive side will be that the students will get to learn while having fun at the same time.
