We are lucky enough to share tablets with the intermediate school (3rd and 4th grade) students! We utilize a math program that supplements my lessons. The students often get frustrated because the shared earbuds are older and they don't fit third graders well.
Every student works at their own pace and it helps to be able to hear the questions or skills being read to them. With all the students being at different places in their reading and math skills (ESL, special needs, different abilities) its difficult to be able to read each question to them individually. We have tried to keep the volume on the tablets lower but it often interferes with other students' lessons.
Believe me I know how lucky we are to have the technology, I am just looking for a way to improve upon my students' abilities to use them!
