I teach a diverse group of 7th grade reading students. They are of differing backgrounds, languages and abilities. Many are special needs students. They are the lowest quartile of the 7th grade when it comes to reading. They are a fun group but have little to no interest in reading books or going to the library. Our school is trying to be as updated as possible in relation to technology but it is a slow process. Since I am the only 7th grade reading teacher, at times I end up at the bottom of the technology list as they try to get the most updated things into larger departments.
